Blaž Ivanc in Tomaž Klobučar sta na mednarodni konferenci s področja kibernetske varnosti, ki je potekala v Nanjingu, Kitajska, prejela nagrado za najboljši referat. Nagrada je bila podeljena za prispevek z naslovom Analysis of Advanced Cyber Attacks with Quantified ESM.
Institut “Jožef Stefan” je 23. oktobra 2015 ob evropskem mesecu kibernetske varnosti organiziral mednarodno konferenco Informacijska varnost in digitalna forenzika. Konferenca je potekala v sklopu aktivnosti Mednarodne kibernetske akademije, ki jo vodi Univerza v Edinburghu, VB. Na konferenci so domači in tuji predavatelji osvetlili pomen informacijske varnosti pri uporabi in poslovanju na internetu in sorodnih komunikacijskih omrežij. Delovanje in metode digitalne forenzike, ki omogoča odkrivanje kibernetskega kriminala, je bila posebej predstavljena od strokovnjakov iz prakse in akademskega okolja. Pri organizaciji konference so sodelovali tudi združenje Internet Slovenija in Akademska mreža Slovenije ARNES. Konferenco je podprla Evropska komisija, Direktorat za notranje zadeve s sredstvi projekta D-FET.
