2. sep 2019 · E5

Members of the Laboratory for Open Systems and Networks of the Jožef Stefan Institute organized the closing workshop of the GIRDA project on 4 July 2019 in Orehov Gaj. The workshop was attended by the Simbioza Genezis foundation, which operates in the field of intergenerational learning, and the Slovenian Philanthropy, together with whom the results of the GIRDA project were presented.

GIRDA is a project under the European Erasmus+ programme, whose main objective was to develop a methodology for improving digital literacy among elderly people using digital games and touchscreen tablets. The development and application of novel methods for acquiring digital literacy were aimed at improving the cognitive and motor capacities of elderly people, which are required by modern mobile devices such as smartphones.
