Organised by the laboratory together with the European Commission during Slovenia's Presidency of the Council of the EU, the conference brought together the Future Internet research community to set out a roadmap of action within the i2010 policy framework. It was opened by Slovenian ministers Žiga Turk and Mojca Kucler Dolinar and European commissioners Janez Potočnik and Viviane Reding.
