The program committee of the INTERNET 2021 conference, held from July 18 to July 22, 2021 in Nice, France, awarded the Best paper prize to the authors of the paper "Web Vulnerability in 2021: Large Scale Inspection, Findings, Analysis and Remedies", Borka Jerman Blažič and Primož Cigoj.
The paper is the result of research carried out within a PhD thesis between 2019 and 2020, aimed at developing a tool for discovering vulnerabilities in web applications and a public service for informing users. The research showed that the percentage of vulnerable web sites is lower in regions where the population has a higher level of digital skills.
