The Laboratory for Open Systems and Networks (E5) at the Jožef Stefan Institute held the regular INDEPENDENT project meeting in Portorož from 14 to 16 October 2025. The event took the form of a third-day working conference with several smaller workshops covering the project's work areas: end-user energy management systems (CEM), aggregator energy management systems (AEMS), simple deployment and permanent marketing of energy solutions, testing of solutions and their evaluation in pilots, and creating market effects and increasing the visibility of the project and its solutions.
The project's characteristics are highly technological solutions in the field of end-user energy management and management at the aggregator level, as well as demanding pilots in various European countries: Finland, Germany, Sweden and Slovenia. The project meeting, organised during the preparation for the first pilot tests, contributed to better and clearer organisation of project work and experiments.
The meeting was organised by the organising committee consisting of dr. Dušan Gabrijelčič, Davud Topalović and dr. Ramanpreet Kaur.
