The Laboratory for Open Systems and Networks at the Jožef Stefan Institute is part of project SiQUID, which will establish quantum key distribution links between multiple government nodes in Slovenia and a test quantum network between research institutions in Ljubljana. Project work officially commenced on January 1, 2023.
The laboratory will play an important role in SiQUID, contributing its expertise in information security and critical infrastructure protection to the development of advanced quantum communication protocols.
