The Laboratory for Open Systems and Networks at the Jožef Stefan Institute is calling for a research position for obtaining a PhD degree in the field of new internet technologies and services. The selected candidate will be employed as a young researcher for a fixed period not exceeding three years and six months.
Applicants must have a completed university degree of the second level (Bologna system) or a scientific master's degree in computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, or other natural science or technical fields. The average grade of all courses and exercises (excluding the diploma) must be at least 8.00. Applicants must meet the requirements for enrollment in postgraduate studies of the third level, and their diploma or master's degree must not be older than five years.
Criteria for assessing candidates include the average study grade, obtained scientific master's degree, enrollment in postgraduate studies, received awards and recognitions, published articles, and participation in research work. The start of the research work is scheduled for October 2016.
