Multi-platform cloud environments still lack adequately developed security solutions at various levels due to technical and human-based problems. We have developed an authentication and authorization solution based on the Single Sign-On (SSO) approach for cloud-service users and administrators in a multi-platform environment. The system enables user authentication for clouds provided as Infrastructure as a Service built from different OS systems. The solution enables the use of different services based on credentials that are authenticated only once and enables simple and efficient administration of relevant data. The implemented solution operates on the open-source cloud platform OpenStack and the commercial solution VMware.
