The Laboratory for Open Systems and Networks of the Jožef Stefan Institute organised the regular INDEPENDENT project meeting in Portorož between 14 and 16 October 2025. The event took place as a three-day working conference with several smaller workshops covering the project's work areas: end-user energy management systems (CEM), aggregator energy management systems (AEMS), simple deployment and permanent marketing of energy solutions, testing of solutions and their evaluation in pilots, and creating market effects and increasing the visibility of the project and its solutions.
The project's characteristics are highly technological solutions in the area of end-user energy management and management at the aggregator level, as well as demanding pilots in various European countries: Finland, Germany, Sweden and Slovenia. The project meeting, organised during the preparation for the first pilot tests, contributed to better and clearer organisation of project work and experiments.
News about the project meeting was also published on social media. The organisation of the meeting was led by the organising committee consisting of dr. Dušan Gabrijelčič, Davud Topalović and dr. Ramanpreet Kaur.
