At the end of April 2019, the SI-PASS project, co-financed by the European Union from the funds of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF Telecom), was successfully completed. The project partners, under the guidance of the Laboratory for Open Systems and Networks of the Jožef Stefan Institute, established an eIDAS node at the Ministry of Public Administration, which represents the central point of trust in the country for secure cross-border e-services. E-services in the fields of eHealth, pension and disability insurance, protection of intellectual property, company registers, and electronic business were integrated into the node.
The results of the project enable foreigners to access Slovenian e-services using their national electronic identification means, such as electronic ID cards, and enable Slovenian users to access public e-services in other EU Member States.
