Security and privacy

Information privacy is the relationship between the collection and dissemination of data, technology, the public expectation of privacy, legal and political issues surrounding them.^[1] It is also known as data privacy^[2] or data protection.

The challenge of data privacy is to use data while protecting an individual’s privacy preferences and their personally identifiable information.^[3] The fields of computer security, data security, and information security design and use software, hardware, and human resources to address this issue.
