DG JUST – DG for Justice and Consumers
Among other topics the Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers (DG JUST) supports judicial cooperation in criminal matters and co-funds transnational projects that support such cooperation among the EU Member States.
Our laboratory is involved in two DG JUST projects that address the issues and problems identified in the implementation of the EU Directive 2014/41 and cross-border collection of electronic evidence:
LIVE_FOR (Criminal justice access to digital evidences in the cloud – LIVE_FORensics) – The project has identified the state of the art including the problems and obstacles for putting the Directive 2014/41/EU and the European Investigation Order to life, and enhanced the awareness among judicial authorities about the newest scientific and educational achievements in the selected domains (live forensic in cloud computing environments).
EIO-LAPD (European Investigation order – legal analysis and practical dilemmas of international cooperation) – The project will further investigate the obstacles in implementation of the Directive 2014/41/EU among the EU MS and prepare guidelines for more efficient implementation including the actions for higher awareness among the European legal practitioners.
