New CEF projects: SI-PASS and eID4U
Laboratory for Open Systems and Networks started the year of 2018 with two new projects from the EU Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) programme: SI-PASS and eID4U.
The main goal of the SI-PASS project, coordinated by the laboratory, is to build a production ready Slovenian eIDAS node and integrate four existing public and one private cross-border e-services with the node. The services belong to the eHealth, intellectual property systems, e-Pension, public legal records, and business transactions domains. The integration will enable users from other EU countries to access those services with their national identification schemes.
The eID4U project will create a virtual student card based on the standard eIDAS attributes for physical persons and the new attributes required for the academic environment. The project partners will also establish secure cross-border academic services for eRegistration, eLogin, and eAccess.
