INDEPENDENT will address the main barriers for sustainable market adoption of Demand-side Flexibility services targeted for buildings and industrial sites with an Integrated Development and Operations Platform (IDOP), also called the INDEPENDENT Platform. IDOP will be a major breakthrough enabling modular development and plug-and-play deployment of standard-compliant Customer and Aggregator Energy Management Systems. It will cover 90% of the flexibility available in buildings and industrial sites and provide advanced Artificial Intelligence solutions for automated resource modelling, probabilistic forecasting, optimal control, and automated integration of legacy systems.
