Analysis of the benefits and risks brought by quantum technologies in the field of security (V1-24004) is a targeted research project co-funded by the Slovenian Research and Innovation Agency and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia. The project objectives are divided into four main goals:

  • Review the current state of quantum technologies and their use in security.
  • Analyze the impact of quantum technologies on Slovenia’s security systems.
  • Predict future developments in quantum technologies and explore international collaboration opportunities.
  • Prepare a final report and organize a workshop to present the findings.

The proposed project will contribute to understanding the strategic value and potential risks of quantum technologies, guiding Slovenia in aligning
its efforts with broader EU and NATO strategies to enhance national security through advanced quantum capabilities.
