TESTING OF A NEW BOARD GAME “INFINITY”
Within the on-going Erasmus+ project “DiGiBLEND | Improving adult digital literacy through innovative gamified blended learning”, we have developed a new and innovative approach to teaching and training basic digital skills for the target group of older adults. As the result we have developed a new board game “INFINITY” for the game-based assessment of the digital literacy among the elderly adults. The testing was successful and the results will be used in the dissemination of the DiGiBLEND project
The elderly adults often find it difficult to adapt to the digital environment, because they lack the basic digital literacy that is required to carry out everyday activities in this digitally transformed world. Their lives, either professional or private, were not based on a need to understand new, digital services. However, for more than a decade, the EU’s strategy and related policy initiatives have pursued the objective of enhancing the digital skills and competencies of all citizens for successful digital transformation. In this context, seniors are considered to be learners who have to be treated patiently and gently.
