DFET was an EU project from the ISEC (Prevention of and fight against crime) programme. The project created new training methods/techniques to support judicial authorities, law enforcement agencies and associated stakeholders in the fight against cybercrime through the development of a virtual (cloud-based) cybercrime training environment to include real life simulation and scenario analysis. The cloud-based platform for digital forensics education and training, named EDUFORS, enables automatic and dynamic generation, delivery and evaluation of investigation challenges that law enforcement officers, students and security specialists have to solve with cyber forensic tools.
